Is it worth giving up sweets?

There are many people who are addicted to sweets. They admit that they really can’t live a day without a delicious chocolate bar or candy. Naturally, such people understand that there can be nothing useful in such a habit, but they are also not able to resist their own desires, even when, due to sweets, scales show excess of the permissible weight limit and it becomes apparent that this will not lead to good consequences. Why is there such a strong craving for sweets?

In fact, this is a real addiction, similar to drug addiction. It is absolutely necessary to get rid of it, although it is very difficult to do. Sweets have a very negative effect on the body. Once in it, sweets turn into glucose. The body is not able to metabolize a large amount of sweet foods, so the blood sugar level inevitably rises. Large amounts of insulin begin to be produced, after which again an irresistible feeling of hunger appears, and so a person eats sweets constantly, not having the opportunity to stop himself.

Excessive consumption of sweets is dangerous because sooner or later it will lead to a disease such as diabetes, which has many horrible complications. This disease is very dangerous, sometimes even fatal, it requires constant administration of quality medicines (such as Amaryl or Daonil).

In addition, you can get mycosis of the oral cavity, since the sweet environment is very beneficial for the reproduction of various harmful infections, especially fungal type. First there is a white film on the tongue, and then there is caries, as a result of which the teeth are crumbling. In this case, you need to give up sweets and start treatment with drugs like Canditral or Forcan as soon as possible.

Pancreatitis can also be provoked by sweets. The fact is that it is obvious that a delicious piece of cake will be eaten literally instantly, that is, a person does not spend enough time to chew a piece. It will be difficult for the pancreas to digest a large piece, hence the problem.

And, of course, the abuse of sweets causes overweight.

To get rid of such a sweet addiction, oddly enough, there is no need to completely exclude sweet foods from your diet. A competent nutritionist will never give such advice at all. If sweets really bring pleasure, then a couple of times a week you can treat yourself to them in small quantities. Forbidden fruit or cake is absolutely always the most desirable, and if a person knows that he can, in principle, eat sweet foods from time to time, the craving for them will become much less.

You need to try to choose the right sweets, for example, dark chocolate, dried fruits, candy, etc.

You also need to monitor the total calorie content of your diet and make sure that it does not exceed 1500-2000 kcal.

The diet should be rich in fiber and protein, this will make it full and healthy!
