Hair types and care tips

You can determine the type of your hair yourself or by contacting your hairdresser to avoid the wrong choice of care products. Let’s consider features of each type.

  1. Normal hair type.hair

Normal hair looks great for a few days. There are almost no problems with such hair. Healthy normal hair is elastic, thick enough and not thin. The hair is combed both wet and dry. Normal scalp is moderately oily, not dry, does not flake, and does not have large pores and blackheads. For normal hair you need a fine-toothed comb.

  1. Oily hair type.

It is not difficult to determine this type: the day after washing the hair looks oily. Greasy hair does not have volume at the roots and it hangs down in strands. Oily scalp has a specific oily sheen. Such skin type is characterized by enlarged pores. Such features are due to excess fat produced by the subcutaneous glands. Factors that can contribute to the deterioration of oily hair:

  • physical activity;
  • exposure to sunlight;
  • hormonal imbalance in adolescence or pregnancy;
  • applying a large amount of styling products to the hair.

You need to choose a special care for this type of hair. Pay special attention hair tips, because they may be dry. Washing with hot water and prolonged brushing should avoid for this type of hair. Also, watch your diet and do not overuse spicy and oily food.

  1. Dry hair.

This type of hair is very sensitive to chemicals and cosmetics. Dry hair does not have enough subcutaneous fat, so moisture evaporates from its surface. The lack of a protective layer makes hair brittle, split and dull. Dandruff often appears on the scalp and you often need dandruff remedies (note such as Nizoral Shampoo, Beta Scalp Application and Arcolane). Coloring, perming, straightening, blow-drying and other styling products are not suitable for dry hair. This type of hair should be protecting from sunlight. Also, it is not recommended combing hair while it is wet and to blow dry.

  1. Mixed hair type.

Mixed hair is usually long, greasy at the roots and dry at the ends. This is the result of insufficient hydration. The ends of the hairs often split without proper care. They need comprehensive care using a variety of special products. For the combined type of hair, special care products have developed.

It is very important to act in two directions at once to solve the problems typical for this type of hair:

  • the need to get rid of excess fat in the root zone.
  • solving the problem of dryness, brittleness and split ends.

When caring for combination hair, adhere to the following rules:

  • the water for washing should be warm and soft;
  • if you use shampoos for oily hair, they should be used only in the upper parts, avoiding contact with the ends;
  • before washing, the ends should treat with special masks or oils for dry damaged hair;
  • it is better to wash off shampoo or conditioner with cool water. It is improving blood circulation and normalizing the work of the sebaceous glands.
