How to protect yourself from colds and viruses

The state of immunity is influenced by heredity, as well as a healthy lifestyle and diet. But even if you are in good health from birth and have no bad habits, you need to help your body fight viruses and bacteria, as your body’s defenses weaken with age.

How can you help protect yourself from a cold, or recover quickly and avoid complications? In order not to get sick or make the disease mild, you need to follow these simple guidelines:

– Drink echinacea tea. This plant is a good and safe immunostimulant. Echinacea is also available in the form of tincture or extract in tablets. Whatever you choose, strictly adhere to the dosage.

– Take vitamins (such as Arcalion or Chela-Ferr Forte). Vitamins A, C, groups B, E and zinc are especially important for immunity. Remember that these supplements must be taken in the dose specified in the instructions. If you are nervous often or sleep poorly, add magnesium. This will calm the nervous system. Otherwise, stress and lack of sleep can worsen the state of your immune system.

– Add seaweed to your diet. Strong immunity helps a person to overcome a number of diseases. Seaweed contains a substance such as chlorophyll. It is a green pigment present in plant cells that makes them green. It is capable of selective accumulation in viruses, bacteria and in pathologically altered human cells.

– Adjust your menu. It should be enough protein-rich food. Proteins are the building blocks for the production of white blood cells and antibodies. Without them there can be no strong immunity. Eat meat, liver, fish, eggs and dairy products. Please note: protein should be consumed 2 times a day. If you do not eat animal foods, be sure to include nuts, seeds, legumes and corn in your diet. These are sources of vegetable protein.

– Eat fermented milk products, such as kefir, cheese, yogurt or fermented milk. Choose natural products that are free of unnecessary additives. They are the most useful and will maintain the intestinal microflora in a well-functioning condition. Bacteria living in the intestines have a great influence on the state of the immune system. If you want to diversify the taste, add a little honey, jam or berries.

– Chop the cranberries and mix it with honey in a ratio of 1: 1. These berries contain a lot of vitamin C, and there is also arbutin. This substance is an excellent antiseptic. Along with honey, the benefits are even greater. You need to eat 1-2 teaspoons of this mixture per day. These treats will help you strengthen your immune system and disinfect your throat. With regular eating of these foods, the likelihood that germs will not cause a pathological process in the body increases.

– Add garlic and onion to the dish (at least 1-2 cloves of garlic or 1/4 onion). These vegetables contain volatile compounds that kill viruses and bacteria. They also contain prebiotics. These substances are necessary for the proper intestinal microflora. And it affects the state of immunity.

– Try to eat less fatty foods, smoked meats, fast foods, rolls and alcohol. All of them do not contain any vitamins and worsen the state of immunity.
