What is CONJYA-0.625 (Conjugated Estrogens) used for?

CONJYA-0.625 (Conjugated Estrogens) is an oral form of estrogen prescribed as a replacement therapy for women suffering from the symptoms of menopause. It works by elevating reduced hormone levels to restore their regular balance. This can prevent symptoms such as hot flashes, flushing of the skin, headaches, reduced sex drive, joint pain, and vaginal dryness. Your physician may also recommend its use for the treatment of other unlisted conditions.

How should I use CONJYA-0.625 (Conjugated Estrogens)?

CONJYA-0.625 (Conjugated Estrogens) should be used exactly as instructed by your physician and the instructions included with the packaging. The medication is normally administered once daily in a four week cycle of three weeks of daily application followed by one week off the medication. These doses should be swallowed with a large glass of water and may be taken with or without food. Never alter the form of the tablets by splitting or crushing them as this may destroy or change the effects of their contents. It is suggested to take the tablets at the same time each day to not only help you remember your daily dosage, but to also maximize their effectiveness. Ask your pharmacist or physician any questions you have about the medication to ensure the correct administration.

What are the side effects of CONJYA-0.625 (Conjugated Estrogens)?

As with any medication, the use of CONJYA-0.625 (Conjugated Estrogens) may cause side effects in some women such as:

  • Headaches
  • Drowsiness or dizziness
  • Mild nausea or bloating
  • Tenderness or swelling of the breast area
  • Unusual appetite changes or weight gain
  • Darkening of the skin or appearance of freckles on the face
  • Increased hair growth
  • Anxiety
  • Disrupted menstrual periods
  • Reduced sex drive
  • Vaginal irritation or discharge

Stop taking the medication and contact your physician immediately if any unusually intense or worrying side effects occur including sudden severe headaches, confusion, unusual swelling of the extremities, numbness, warm sensations in the legs, a feeling of pressure on the chest, unexplained vaginal bleeding, jaundice, or a lump appearing in the breast. These conditions may require reduced dosages, reduced frequency of administration, or immediate medical attention in serious or life threatening cases to prevent further health problems from occurring.

Please Note

CONJYA-0.625 (Conjugated Estrogens) is only meant to be used to treat women and should not be administered to patients who are pregnant, breastfeeding, lactose intolerant, or who have known or suspected breast cancer, endometrial cancer, endometrial hyperplasia, angina, a recent stroke, a recent heart attack, deep vein or pulmonary thrombosis, unexplained vaginal bleeding, porphyarias, liver disease, or a history of liver disease.
