What is Zolax (Fluconazole) used for?

Zolox contains the active ingredient fluconazole, an antifungal medicine used in the treatment of a wide range of infections of a fungal origin. Fungal infections of the mouth, throat, esophagus, lungs, bladder, genital area, and the blood can all be treated with fluconazole. Fluconazole is also used by patients with compromised immune function such as cancer patients, bone marrow transplant patients or patients with AIDS.

Fluconazole slows fungal growth by stopping the production of ergosterol. This creates holes in the cell membrane and kills the fungi.
